Rhythm Dance Center Studio Policies

2024-2025 Policies

Thank you for registering with us! We are so happy you will be joining us for the 2024-2025 Season! Once we have received your registration, your credit card will be charged within approximately 1-10 business days for the appropriate fees (see payment policies). Payment in full is required for all registration. You will receive a payment confirmation email once your payment has been processed. 

2024-2025 Registration Policies

A non-refundable registration fee of $40 for the first dancer and $30 each additional family member is due upon registration. In addition, a deposit of 50% of one installment is due at this time. This is also non-refundable. Payment in full is required for the registration fee, August tuition installment, and any Twirl, Twist, Hip Hop & Pop, Fairytale Ballet, GMX, Spotlight, or summer fees, if applicable. You will receive a payment confirmation email once your payment has been processed.

TWIRL™: Twirl & Twist are our trademarked preschool and kindergarten programs at Rhythm! Rhythm Owners Becca Moore and Dani Rosenberg developed these awesome programs, and they are now used in dance studio across the country! TWIRL Pink, Lilac, Yellow, Petite Pizzazz Twirl & Twirl to the Max* dancers receive a reward ribbon for their dance bag, a super fun activity book, fun stickers, and a certificate of completion at the end of the year. An annual Twirl Fee is due at registration is $25 and includes Twirl Book, Ribbon, stickers, gems and Twirl Graduation Celebration Certificate.

TWIST™: Twist is our unique kindergarten program created especially for Rhythm by owners Becca and Dani (along with our staff), and is a Jazz and Tap combo class (with some ballet basics)! This engaging program helps your young dancer learn age appropriate dance steps and proper terminology in a creative, lively and fun setting. Each week in class, your dancer will be introduced to basic dance steps, terminology, skills and concepts. Then, once per month, we have a super fun, super special week called Twist Week! It’s like a dance party in class! Each class will have a special theme during Twist week that corresponds with an activity on their Twist Tracker sheet. These themed classes are sure to bring that element of FUN we are known for! In addition, the dancers will receive a fun bag tag for their dance bag that they will add “sparkle” to during the year! This class will perform TAP in the Year-End Show! Twist Fee: $25 (due at registration and includes Twist Tracker, Twist activity sheets, stickers, bag tag and certificate).

The Twirl Fee for Hip Hop & Pop and Fairytale Ballet is $15 per dancer and is due at registration. These classes receive a fun bag tag and a certificate of completion at the end of the year.

*Twirl to the Max is technically two back-to-back classes merged into one class, so tuition is for two classes. Dancers will perform two dances in the Year-End Show and will have two costume fees.

SPOTLIGHT: Dancers selected for our Spotlight Program will have an additional $75 Spotlight fee due at registration. In addition, they attend one competition each year that requires an entry fee of approximately $65 per routine, media fees, and are required to take one summer dance camp at Rhythm.

GROOVE MEKANIX: (GMx) Dancers selected for our GMx Crew will have an additional $75 GMx fee due at registration. In addition, they attend two competitions and dance convention each year that require entry fees, media fees, and convention fee.

Marquee Magic 2nd Session

Marquee Magic: This is a unique, session-based musical theater program outside our regular dance tuition program. It has a separate cost of $520 for K-3rd Grades or $580 for 4th-8th Grades for the session, which covers all classes, rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and shows for the performers. This cost is to be paid in four installments as outlined below:

Kindergarten-3rd Grades:  $520

  • $40 Registration (exempt if a current student)
  •  $70 Non-Refundable Deposit: Due at the time of registration  
  •  $150: Due January 1  
  •  $150: Due February 1  
  •  $150: Due March 1  

4th-8th Grades: $580

  • $40 Registration (exempt if a current student)
  •  $70 Non-Refundable Deposit: Due at the time of registration  
  •  $170: Due January 1  
  •  $170: Due February 1 
  •  $170: Due March 1  

Costume Cost: The costume is not included in the payment breakdown for the Marquee Magic program. The Marquee Magic costume cost will be approximately $110 and is non-refundable. The costume cost is due January 15 for Session 2. Tickets to the show(s) are not included and will be $20 per ticket plus tax and a ticketing fee will be charged by the ticket provider. 
Failure to complete scheduled payments by the due dates may result in the performer’s removal from the program. All payments, including tuition, and costume fees, are required regardless of participation in the final performance(s).

Withdrawal Policy: If a participant decides to withdraw from the Marquee Magic program, a 30 day notice is required and must be provided to us in writing. The $70 deposit and any subsequent payments made are non-refundable and non-transferable. 

Performer Commitment: Participation in Marquee Magic is a significant commitment, not only for the individual performer but also for the entire team. Every dancer plays an important role, and consistent attendance at classes and rehearsals is crucial for the group’s success. When a dancer withdraws, it affects the choreography, the dynamic of the group, and the overall performance preparation for everyone involved. We kindly ask that all participants and their families carefully consider this commitment before registering.
**By registering for Marquee Magic, you acknowledge and agree to the payment terms and understand that all payments are non-refundable. You also acknowledge and agree to the withdrawal policy and confirm that your performer is fully committed to the Marquee Magic program, including all classes, rehearsals, and the final performance. You understand that your participation is essential to the success of the entire group and agree to adhere to the above policies.**

We are excited to offer a new Rhythm Membership Opportunity which will begin in April of 2025. This will give you the opportunity to rollover your registration along with additional perks TBA next spring. You can expect to see information about Rhythm Membership announced in early April!

2024-2025 Withdrawal Policy

WITHDRAWAL POLICY: We require a 30-day written notice via email if you need to withdraw from Rhythm Dance Center. Please email info@rhythmdancecenter.com to withdraw from our 2024-2025 season. After the 30-day notice, we will terminate your monthly installment, or, if a full year was paid, we will refund the remaining installments minus 30%. This withdrawal policy remains in effect even if we have a shelter in place mandate from the federal, state or local government. In the event of a shelter in place, classes will convert to virtual classes and instruction will continue. There may be an approximate one-week transition period from the date of the shelter in place order until virtual classes begin in order to allow us to implement our action plan. This brief time period, if needed, will be treated as inclement weather days, meaning your dancer can choose a convenient make-up class from an appropriate class on our schedule. No refunds will be given for this week. Please call or email to sign up for your make-up class. Remember that a 30-day written notice will still be required for withdrawal.

2024-2025 Year-End Show Policies

YEAR-END SHOW: We produce a fabulous production at the end of the year with all Rhythm dancers. Our shows (including dress rehearsal) are typically held the week of Memorial Day. We will announce the dates for our 2025 shows as soon as possible. This is an exciting and rewarding part of the season that everyone looks forward to! We encourage all dancers to participate! Stay tuned for 2025 Year-End Show details to be released throughout the year in November and April.

YEAR-END SHOW COSTUMES: Costume costs are generally $100-$150 per costume (you will receive the exact amount in November 2024). Costume fees will be auto-drafted on November 10, 2024. After this fee is processed on November 10th, it is not refundable for any reason. Any costume alterations needed will be the responsibility of the parent. If your dancer will not be participating, you are required to notify us by email to info@rhythmdancecenter.com no later than November 10, 2024. Please do not rely on your dancer to inform us that she or he will not be dancing in the Year-End Show!

YEAR-END SHOW PRODUCTION FEE: In Fall of 2024, we will announce the exact Year-End show fee amount to be charged on March 10, 2025. This fee enables us to provide your dancer with the experience of participating in a full-scale production in a beautiful theater with sets, props, and specialty lighting. In addition, i thelps to cover show planning, event staffing, security and other production details. This fee also includes a fun, themed gift that your dancer will receive on the day of the show, as well as your class group photo!  

YEAR-END SHOW TICKETS: Tickets to our Year-End Shows will need to be purchased. Dancers performing in the show do not need a ticket. More information on Show Tickets, including when they will be available to purchase, will be included in the Year-End Show packet released mid-April. The ticket cost will be announced in the Spring when more of the show details come out! In order to ensure all dancers have the opportunity to have their immediate family watch them dance in the show, we may limit the number of tickets each family may purchase for a designated time period. After the designated time period, if tickets are still available, we may lift the limit and open ticket sales to everyone.

2024-2025 Customer Portal

Each family will have a portal to process payments, register for classes, etc. It is your responsibility to keep all info (contact info, payment info, etc.) up to date. You can sign up or log in on the homepage of our website. Please contact krista@rhythmdancecenter.com with any questions about your portal and/or account info. In this portal, when registering a parent or guardian will need to sign off on all the policies below. CURRENT STUDENTS: Please check and confirm your contact, payment information, and dancer's school grade is correct and up to date. Once you have registered, please verify all your classes are correct by logging into your customer portal.

2024-2025 Payment Policies/Authorization

2024-2025 Registration and Tuition Payment Information: Rhythm Dance Center tuition is based on an entire season of dance. Our season runs from August 19, 2024-May 24, 2025. All dancers are required to pay for the entire season. If you enroll mid-season we will prorate your tuition based on when you begin dancing with us. Tuition is not based on the number of classes in a month or on attendance. There is NO refund for missed classes as we provide a make-up schedule. You may pay the entire season in full or pay it in monthly installments. At the time of registration, a deposit equal to one half of your monthly installments will be due. This deposit and registration fee are non-refundable. The other installments are due the 1st of each month, September 2024 - May 2025, and will be automatically billed to the card on file on the 1st of each month. All monthly tuition payments, Year-End Show costume payments, and Year-End Show fees will be auto-drafted to the card on file. You will be emailed a receipt after your tuition is auto-drafted. Year-End Show costume payments will be auto-drafted on November 10, 2024. In early Spring of 2025, we will announce the exact Year-End Show fee amount. This will be approximately $140. Once the exact fee amount is determined, this fee will be auto-drafted on April 15, 2025.

TUITION PAYMENT IN FULL: If you opt to pay the entire season in full prior to August 15, 2024, you will receive a 5% discount. Please note: If you pay your dancer's tuition for the full year and then withdraw from classes for any reason (loss of interest, school obligations, injury, illness, etc.), a 30% penalty will be applied to your refund for the remainder of the year. We suggest you only pay the year in full if you are 100% confident your dancer will participate fully in the entire season. If for any reason we provide a tuition discount during one or more months of the season, this discount will not apply to prepayments. No further discounts are available.

RECEIPT OF PAYMENT: You will not receive a billing statement or invoice prior to any charges, however, you will receive a receipt of payment each month after the auto-draft. LATE FEE: If your card on file is declined, an alternate payment must be made within 48 hours. A $15 Late Fee will be charged for any payments not made in full by the 5th of the month. This includes declined charges for cards on file for any reason.

RETURNED CHECK FEE: $35. 

2024-2025 Release of Liability

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: I understand dance can be a strenuous activity and accept responsibility for any injuries my child may incur while participating in any activity at Rhythm Dance Center. Rhythm Dance Center and its employees are not liable for personal injury, or loss of or damage to personal property.

ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY RELATING TO CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19:
COVID-19 is contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. Rhythm Dance Center will make every effort to prevent symptomatic employees and dancers from entering the building. However COVID-19 has been proven to be asymptomatic in some persons. Therefore, Rhythm Dance Center cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19 or any other unknown virus. By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending Rhythm Dance Center and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. By signing this agreement, I agree that my child and any accompanying persons will not enter Rhythm Dance Center if we exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19.I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child(ren) or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with my child(ren)'s attendance at Rhythm Dance Center. On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Rhythm Dance Center, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Rhythm Dance Center, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 or other currently unknown virus infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any Rhythm Dance Center program or class.

General Rules 2024-2025

GENERAL RULES: Please discuss these rules with your dancers! Thank you!

- No food or drinks other than water inside the studios. No exceptions!
- No cell phones, smart watches (like Apple Watch), smart earphones (like Air Pods) are allowed in the dance rooms at any time. If they are inside a dance bag, they should be turned off. If dancers are wearing these in class, they will be asked to remove and take to front desk staff for safekeeping until class is over.
- Rhythm is a large place, so please keep an eye on your children, no running or climbing on furniture PLEASE!
- All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times unless they are in class.
- All personal belongings may be kept in the dressing room or in the studio with the dancer if needed. Rhythm Dance Center is not responsible for items left behind. Please make sure you check for all your belongings before leaving the studio.
- Preschool and Kindergarten Parents: Please take your dancer to the restroom BEFORE class begins to avoid accidents and disruptions to class.
- Please make an effort to be prompt! Excessive tardiness picking up your child will result in additional fees.
- No parents, friends, or siblings are allowed in the classroom at any time. This is for the benefit of your dancer. They will learn more if we have their complete attention.
- Viewing windows will be open the first full week of each month.
- If your dancer drops a class, a 30-day written notice is required. You will be responsible for payment until the written notice is received and the 30 day period has passed.
- For the safety of our dancers, we typically follow Cobb County's decisions on inclement weather school closings. However, you should always use your own judgement when deciding to travel due to weather. We will confirm our closing via email when inclement weather affects Rhythm Dance Center. We will also communicate all schedule changes on social media as well! No refunds for inclement weather. All classes missed due to inclement weather can be made up at your convenience using our existing class schedule.
- Our staff is available during office hours to answer any questions you might have! If you need to speak with your child's teacher, please call or email to set up an appointment as we rarely have time in-between classes. You can reach us at info@rhythmdancecenter.com or 770.998.6507.

Dress Code

Proper shoes and attire must be worn to participate in class. Hair should be pulled back off the face for all classes. A proper bun must be worn for ballet class. Don't forget to write your name in all shoes, bags, etc. You can find descriptions and examples of the proper attire for each class in the Classes section of our website.

Make-up Policies

If your dancer misses class due to illness or other personal reasons, they will be able to make up the missed class in a similar class. There will be no discount or refund given for missed classes. There are no make-ups for classes missed when the studio is officially closed for holidays, etc. All classes missed due to inclement weather can be made up at your convenience using our existing class schedule.
