2020-2021 Registration and Tuition Payment Information
Please note: The following rules and policies will be updated closer to the first day of class based on government recommended guidelines due to COVID-19. You will be notified of these changes in advance and required to sign off on them.
PAYMENT POLICIES: Rhythm Dance Center tuition is based on an entire season of dance. Our season runs from August 10, 2020 - May 29, 2021. All dancers are required to pay for the entire season. Tuition is not based on the number of classes in a month or on attendance. There is NO refund for missed classes as we provide a make-up schedule.
You may pay the entire season in full or divide it up into 10 equal monthly installments. The first installment is due at registration along with your registration fee, and this installment is non-refundable unless there is a government-mandated shutdown in place on August 10, 2020. In this case, this fee will convert into a tuition credit that will remain valid until August 9, 2021. The other installments are due the 1st of each month, September 2020 - May 2021, and will be automatically billed to the card on file on the 1st of each month.
All monthly tuition payments, Year-End Show costume payments, and Year-End Show fees will be auto-drafted to the card on file. Tuition is due on the first of every month and will be auto-drafted on the first of each month. You will be emailed a receipt after your tuition is auto-drafted. Year-End Show costume payments and Year-End Show fees will be auto-drafted on December 10, 2020.
If you opt to pay the entire season in full prior to August 10, 2020, you will receive a 5% discount. Please note: If you pay your dancer’s tuition for the full year and then withdraw from classes for any reason (loss of interest, school obligations, injury, illness, etc.), a 30% penalty will be applied to your refund for the remainder of the year. We suggest you only pay the year in full if you are 100% confident your dancer will participate fully in the entire season. If for any reason we provide a tuition discount during one or more months of the season, this discount will not apply to prepayments. No further discounts are available.
RECEIPT OF PAYMENT: You will not receive a billing statement or invoice prior to any charges, however, you will receive a receipt of payment each month after the auto-draft.
LATE FEE: If your card on file is declined, an alternate payment must be made within 48 hours. A $15 Late Fee will be charged for any payments not made in full by the 5th of the month. This includes declined charges for cards on file for any reason.
RETURNED CHECK FEE: $25.
PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION: I hereby authorize Rhythm Dance Center, Inc. to charge my credit or debit card for all services and products related to my family's enrollment in classes and activities at Rhythm Dance Center including but not limited to tuition, supplemental materials, special events, costumes, concert or year-end show fees, accessories, etc. Fees are subject to change. If I elect to pay annual tuition via monthly installments, I understand that my credit or debit card will continue to be charged on the monthly, session or periodic basis unless I notify the studio in writing 30 days before intent to discontinue via email to email@example.com and receive an acknowledged returned response from Rhythm Dance Center staff. I understand that it will not be sufficient notice to merely tell an instructor or other employee of our intent to discontinue.
I have read this entire agreement and understand that I will be held fully responsible for its terms and conditions of service, including a 30-day written notice by email to Rhythm Dance Center of any intent to discontinue. I understand that once the monthly installments for my annual tuition, my Year-End Show fee or my Year-End Show costume fee have occurred there will be no refund given if I decide to discontinue. I agree to notify Rhythm Dance Center immediately of any change in the status of my charge account including but not limited to card expiration, name change, limitation of use, loss or theft of the card, etc. In the event that the amount charged is refused for whatever reason, I accept responsibility for full payment for the amount charged as well as an NSF fee of $15.00.

CUSTOMER PORTAL: Each family will have a portal to process payments, register for classes, etc. It is your responsibility to keep all info (contact info, payment info, etc.) up to date. You can sign up or log in on the homepage of our website. Please contact email@example.com with any questions about your portal and/or account info. In this portal, when registering a parent or guardian will need to sign off on all the policies below.
ASSUMPTIONS OF RISK & WAIVERS OF LIABILITY
PHOTO RELEASE: I hereby grant Rhythm Dance Center permission to use my child's photograph/video for promotional purposes and/or social media and Rhythm Dance Center's website.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY: I understand dance can be a strenuous activity and accept responsibility for any injuries my child may incur while participating in any activity at Rhythm Dance Center. Rhythm Dance Center and its employees are not liable for personal injury, or loss of or damage to personal property.
ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY RELATING TO CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19: The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies have put in place recommended social distancing, occupancy restrictions and guidelines for businesses to follow. Rhythm Dance Center has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; Rhythm Dance Center will be implementing all recommendations from Georgia state officials as per Rhythm’s Enhanced Sanitation Practices & Social Distancing Guidelines document available on our website.
Rhythm Dance Center will make every effort to keep our studio sanitized and to prevent symptomatic employees and dancers from entering the building. However, COVID-19 has been proven to be asymptomatic in some persons. Therefore, Rhythm Dance Center cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19 or any other unknown virus. Further, attending Rhythm Dance Center could increase your risk and your child(ren)’s risk of contracting COVID-19.
By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending Rhythm Dance Center and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. By signing this agreement, I agree that my child and any accompanying persons will not enter Rhythm Dance Center if we exhibit any of the following new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19: A temperature greater than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, other respiratory symptoms, or at least two of the following symptoms: chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, sore throat or new loss of taste or smell. I also agree that, neither my child(ren) nor any accompanying adult will enter Rhythm Dance Center if we have had known close contact with a person who is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19.
I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child(ren) or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with my child(ren)’s attendance at Rhythm Dance Center. On my behalf, and on behalf of my children, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Rhythm Dance Center, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Rhythm Dance Center, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 or other currently unknown virus infection occurs before, during, or after participation in any Rhythm Dance Center program or class.
REGISTRATION FEES: A non-refundable registration fee of $35 for the first dancer and $25 each additional family member is due upon registration. In addition, your first tuition installment is due at this time. This is also non-refundable. Payment in full is required for the registration fee, August tuition installment, and any Twirl, preschool or summer fees, if applicable. You will receive a payment confirmation email once your payment has been processed.
WITHDRAWAL POLICY: We require a 30-day written notice via email if you need to withdraw from Rhythm Dance Center. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to withdraw from our 2020-2021 season. After the 30-day notice, we will terminate your monthly installment, or, if a full year was paid, we will refund the remaining installments minus 30%. This withdrawal policy remains in effect even if we have a shelter in place mandate from federal, state or local government.
In the event of a shelter in place, classes will convert to virtual classes and instruction will continue. There may be an approximate one-week transition period from the date of the shelter in place order until virtual classes begin in order to allow us to implement our action plan. This brief time period, if needed, will be treated as inclement weather days, meaning your dancer can choose a convenient make-up class from an appropriate class on our schedule. No refunds will be given for this week. Please call or email to sign up for your make-up class. Remember that a 30-day written notice will still be required for withdrawal.
Performing Company Members Only: If we are mandated to close our physical location due to any government order, classes will convert to virtual classes and instruction will continue. If your dancer chooses to withdraw due to this change in format, you will receive a full refund of all company deposits minus any costs that have already been paid out. These include costumes, competitions, conventions, etc. If you decide to withdraw for any other reason, all original penalties will apply. Please see your acceptance letter for details.
MAKE-UP CLASSES: If your dancer misses class due to illness or other personal reasons, they will be able to make up the missed class in a similar class. There will be no discount or refund given for missed classes. There are no make-ups for classes missed when the studio is officially closed for holidays, etc. All classes missed due to inclement weather can be made up at your convenience using our existing class schedule.
2020 Summer Registration: A full non-refundable payment will be due upon registering for our 2020 Summer dates. The appropriate fees will be posted to your account and will be charged to the card on file.
ONGOING VIRTUAL CLASSES: We will be offering a limited number of classes taught exclusively via Zoom. Virtual classes are being offered on a month-to-month basis and are subject to end or change at our discretion at any time.
UNEXPECTED VIRTUAL CLASSES: If we are mandated to close our physical location due to any government order, classes will convert to virtual classes and instruction will continue. We have had great success with all ages in our virtual classes and are confident we can continue to engage our dancers should the need arise. There may be an approximate one-week transition period from the date of the shelter in place order until virtual classes begin in order to allow us to implement our action plan. This brief time period, if needed, will be treated as inclement weather days, meaning your dancer can choose a convenient make-up class from an appropriate class on our schedule. TWIRL™: Twirl is our Trademarked preschool and kindergarten program at Rhythm! Rhythm Owners Becca Moore and Dani Rosenberg developed this awesome program, and it is now used in dance studios across the country!
Twirl Classic (Twirl Pink, Twirl Lilac, Twirl Yellow, and Twirl Aqua and Twirl to the Max*) includes a reward ribbon for their dance bag, a super fun activity book, and a certificate of completion for each dancer at the end of the year. The Twirl Classic fee is $25.00. The Twirl Fee for Snazzy Jazzy, Fairytale Ballet, and Hip Hop Flip Flop is $15 per dancer and is due at registration. These classes include a fun bag tag and a certificate of completion at the end of the year.
*Twirl to the Max is technically two back-to-back classes merged into one class, so tuition is for two classes. Dancers will perform two dances in the year-end show but will wear the same costume for both dances, so they will only have one costume fee.
SPOTLIGHT: Dancers selected for our Spotlight Program will have an additional $50 Spotlight fee due at registration. In addition, they attend one competition each year that requires an entry fee of approximately $55, and are required to take one summer dance camp at Rhythm.
GROOVE MEKANIX (GMx): Dancers selected for our GMx Crew will have an additional $75 GMx fee due at registration. In addition, they attend two competitions each year that require entry fees.
YEAR-END SHOW: We produce a fabulous production at the end of the year with all Rhythm dancers. The show week (including dress rehearsals) will be June 1 - June 6. This is an exciting and rewarding part of the season that everyone looks forward to! We encourage all dancers to participate! Stay tuned for 2020 Year-End Show details to be released throughout the year in November and April. Please note: Pointe Prep, Body Awareness, and most Adult Classes do not participate in the Year-End Show.
YEAR-END SHOW COSTUMES: Costume costs are generally $80.00-$130.00 per costume (you will receive the exact amount in November 2020). Costume fees will be auto-drafted on December 10, 2020. After this fee is processed on December 10th, it is not refundable for any reason. Any costume alterations needed will be the responsibility of the parent. If your dancer will not be participating, you are required to notify us by email to email@example.com no later than December 5, 2020. Please do not rely on your dancer to inform us that she or he will not be dancing in the Year-End Show!
YEAR-END SHOW FEE: A $30 (per dancer) Year-End Show Fee is due with costume payment. This fee helps cover the costs associated with planning the production, and includes a special year-end gift for the dancer. This fee will be auto-drafted on December 10, 2020, along with the costume fees.
YEAR-END SHOW TICKETS: Tickets to our Year-End Shows will need to be purchased. Dancers performing in the show do not need a ticket. More information on Show Tickets, including when they will be available to purchase, will be included in the Year-End Show packet released mid-April. The ticket cost will be announced in the Spring when more of the show details come out! In order to ensure all dancers have the opportunity to have their immediate family watch them dance in the show, we may limit the number of tickets each family may purchase for a designated time period. After the designated time period, if tickets are still available, we may lift the limit and open ticket sales to everyone.
DRESS CODE: Proper shoes and attire must be worn to participate in class. Hair should be pulled back off the face for all classes. A proper bun must be worn for ballet class. Don’t forget to write your name in all shoes, bags, etc. You can find descriptions and examples of the proper attire for each class in the Classes section of our website.
GENERAL RULES: Please discuss these rules with your dancers! Thank you!
- No food or drinks other than water inside the studios. No exceptions!
- No cell phones, smart watches (like Apple Watch), smart earphones (like Air Pods) are allowed in the dance rooms at any time. If they are inside a dance bag, they should be turned off. If dancers are wearing these in class, they will be asked to remove and take to front desk staff for safekeeping until class is over.
- Rhythm is a large place, so please keep an eye on your children, no running or climbing on furniture PLEASE!
- All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times unless they are in class.
- All personal belongings may be kept in the dressing room or in the studio with the dancer if needed. Rhythm Dance Center is not responsible for items left behind at Rhythm Dance Center. Please make sure you check for all your belongings before leaving the studio.
- Preschool and Kindergarten Parents: Please take your dancer to the restroom BEFORE class begins to avoid accidents and disruptions to class.
- Please make an effort to be prompt! Excessive tardiness picking up your child will result in additional fees.
- No parents, friends, or siblings are allowed in the classroom at any time. This is for the benefit of your dancer. They will learn more if we have their complete attention.
- Viewing windows will be open the first full week of each month.
- If your dancer drops a class, a 30-day written notice is required. You will be responsible for payment until the written notice is received.
- For the safety of our dancers, we follow Cobb County's decisions on inclement weather school closings. However, you should always use your own judgement when deciding to travel due to weather. We will confirm our closing via email when inclement weather affects Rhythm Dance Center. We will also communicate all schedule changes on social media as well! No refunds for inclement weather. All classes missed due to inclement weather can be made up at your convenience using our existing class schedule.

2020-2021 CALENDAR: We generally follow the Cobb County School Calendar for closing. Please note: We will NOT close for Cobb County Winter Break or MLK Day. Please see the full calendar for details.
If you attend a school district outside of Cobb County, please let us know if your child will be missing class (for example, a different Spring Break, etc.). This could also affect your Dress Rehearsal or Show Schedule. Our Dress Rehearsals will be held during the days of Tuesday, June 1 and Wednesday, June 2, 2021. A schedule with specific times for your dancer will be provided in November.
